My adventures in technology goes back to high school (1963) when I put a null voltage calculator into an attache case, took it to my after school job, and told some of the regulars that this was what computers would look like in the future. I was then told by the main frame guys that it would be problematic due to the size of the components and the heat generated by them. They were right at the time.
Now, after forty-six years, my curiosity about technology is still active.
Prior to my retirement a few years ago, I was fascinated by my students interest in the then developing video gaming 'fad'. So, when I retired, I decided that I would take this up as my pastime.
Now, with more 'Boomers' moving in a new direction, I thought that I might be able to offer some insight into this pastime, based on my experiences in video gaming over the past five years.
